Ekurhuleni FM Description:
When South Africa opened the door for community radio stations in the early nineties, Ekurhuleni FM was one of the leaders and went on air for the first time in 1995. Years later Ekurhuleni FM continues to entertain listeners of Ekurhuleni and surroundings day and night.
Ekurhuleni FM broadcasts 24 hours, seven days a week from our studio in Springs, as well as our satellite studio in Springs Mall. Our broadcast area is the Ekurhuleni Metro -Springs, Nigel, Brakpan, Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Edenvale, Alberton and Germiston.
We are also heard in surrounding areas such as Heidelberg, Sundra, Delmas and places south of Johannesburg and East of Pretoria. Ekurhuleni FM offers something for everyone of any age with the largest target audience between 25 and 49 years. Listeners fall mainly between LSM 6 to 10, with the largest concentration in LSM 8 and 9.
Music and talking is divided between 50 % Afrikaans and 50 % English. Music is mainly adult contemporary and programs are designed to provide something for the community as a whole.
