Maidstone Radio

My name is Tiziana Coppetelli, and I am the Event Project Manager for Creative Arts in Diversity, as well as the founder of TC Digital Edge & Connections, based in Maidstone. I am writing to introduce a new community-led cultural initiative and to explore whether Maidstone Radio might be interested in supporting and partnering with us in due course.

Creative Arts in Diversity is a not-for-profit immersive arts festival celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community cohesion in Maidstone. The event is planned for 4 July at Brenchley Gardens, subject to final confirmations and funding.

The festival will bring together Maidstone’s diverse communities through a vibrant programme of live music, dance, storytelling, visual arts, workshops, and cultural showcases. It will celebrate a wide range of minority and heritage groups, including communities from Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, East and Southern Europe, Turkish, Nepalese, and many others who contribute to the cultural richness of the borough.

The initiative aims to:

Promote social inclusion, wellbeing, and community cohesion

Provide paid opportunities for local creatives and performers

Encourage active participation and cross-cultural exchange

Celebrate and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities

As a community-focused radio station that champions Maidstone based initiatives, I would very much welcome the opportunity to explore:

Editorial support and awareness-raising (such as interviews, features, or event listings)

Potential sponsorship, donations, or in-kind support, including marketing, advertising, or promotional coverage that could help increase the festival’s reach and impact

I would be delighted to discuss how a collaboration could be mutually beneficial and aligned with Maidstone Radio’s commitment to supporting local communities and creative projects.
