ProFM Description:
ProFM is a radio station in Romania and the Republic of Moldova that is owned by the RCS & RDS trust. ProFM began broadcasting on April 15, 1993, and is currently in digital radio format for the Internet. In 2008, ProFM launched the exclusively online radio division, which has 19 online radio stations in its portfolio. Since 2009, ProFM has broadcasts in several cities in Romania and in the Republic of Moldova. On September 5, 2010, InfoPro radio will stop broadcasting and on InfoPro frequencies it will broadcast ProFM. Since December 2014, ProFM has been in the media portfolio of RCS & RDS, together with InfoPro, MusicFM and DanceFM, following the transaction with the CME group. In February 2015, in a meeting within CNA, the representatives of RCS & RDS explain the format of “informative radio, with their own newsroom” that the new Digi FM radio station will have, which will use the frequencies of the InfoPro network. After the launch of the new radio station, ProFM will continue to use its original frequencies, before the closure of InfoPro.
