Radio Foia Description:

Radio Foia is a local radio station based in the village of Monchique, in the Algarve region, in Portugal. Emits in FM on the frequency 97.1 MHz with 500 W. Radio Foia has been licensed to carry out broadcasting activity for local coverage since March 30, 1989. In 2009 Radio Foia saw its license renewed for another 10 years, on April 14th. Radio Foia is a Cooperative of Radio Service Producers, established on May 7, 1987. Radio Foia’s broadcasting center is located in Fóia, at the highest point of the Serra de Monchique, which allows it to have coverage in the Algarve, in the Lower Alentejo and even to the South Bank of the Tagus.
