Radio Rijnmond Description:
Radio Rijnmond is a Dutch public media institution for radio, television and internet for the Radio Rijnmond region, in the province of South Holland. The media institution is located in the Lloydkwartier in Rotterdam.
Since 1 January 2000, Radio Rijnmond has been the regional public media institution within the meaning of the Media Act 2008, in the south-western part of the province. This means that the broadcaster is financed by the provincial government (South Holland). Radio and TV Radio Rijnmond may also use part of their broadcasting time for advertising. The income from this may only be used to fulfill the public media mission. Serving a profit by third parties, however, the regional public broadcasting service is not permitted under the Media Act.
