NH Radio is the regional radio and television broadcaster for the province of North Holland. NH Radio consists of NH Nieuws, NH Sport and NH Radio. The broadcaster is located in Amsterdam. NH Radio started on January 1, 1989 as Radio Noord-Holland with a transmission time of three hours a day; later that was extended to 24 hours a day. Since 2016, the radio station is called NH Radio. It is the official emergency channel of North Holland.
