CRI Sri Lanka 97.9 FM Description:

CRI Sri Lanka 97.9 FM is Sri Lanka based radio station. China International Radio’s Sinhala Service commenced broadcasting in Sri Lanka on April 23, 2010 covering the Western Province of Sri Lanka on 97.9FM. Initially, all the programs aired during the air time of 4 hours a day were brought from China. With the commencement of its broadcasting operations in Sri Lanka on 12 October 2015, the Sinhala service of China International Radio was able to increase its air time to 19 hours. The aim of the Sinhala service of China International Radio is to further expand the audience and provide more services to the listeners in Sri Lanka.
