Radio Udaan is an exclusive and inclusive online radio station for people with disabilities. It was launched in the year 2014. Our station runs under ‘Udaan Empowerment Trust and it is heard in more than 115 countries and is run by an enthusiastic team of visually challenged RJs and team members. It is the only type of Radio Station that is run by disabled people and it’s been more than five years that our station is catering listeners a huge range of shows. We are listened to in more than 115 countries and our monthly listener statistics shuttle between 15,000 to 20,000 listeners.
We have spearheaded the evolution of online disability Radio by offering content that is distinct, engaging, informative and qualitative. Our station runs 24 hours and 7 days a week. Our Radio station reflects the communities we serve. We don’t just offer content to our listeners but we also take queries and help our listeners lead a happy, satisfied and poised life.
Through our platform, we create awareness among people about the policies of government, the rights, latest schemes, Accessible India and every such deed that comes to our notice. Whether it is Diwali, Eid, Rakshabandhan, Independence Day, live Olympics commentary, Cricket Commentary, elections or anything, we do live transmission for our listeners.
We give people with disabilities a chance to participate so that they can come up and keep their opinions, views and participate in different shows. Whether games, quizzes, entertainment, education or personality development, our station has it all for everyone. Listeners participate and win exciting prizes and recognitions. An exciting thing about us is that we know what our listeners need. We stem from different backgrounds and understand the aspirations and desires of our listeners.
