Africa No. 1 Description:

Africa No. 1 is a Franco-African radio station created in Gabon in 1981. Born with French and Gabonese funds, the radio split very early into two almost independent structures, Africa No. 1 Gabon and Africa No. 1 Paris. At the beginning of 2000, France withdrew from Africa No. 1 Gabon which came under the control of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in 2007 and has been experiencing severe economic difficulties since. For its part, Africa No. 1 Paris has good audience scores and manages to stabilize its presence in the French radio landscape.
