Radio Silkeborg is a Danish commercial local radio station that was first aired on 1 February 1985. The studio, where it is broadcast from, is located at Papirfabrikken in Silkeborg, where Midtjyllands Avis is also housed. There has been local radio in Silkeborg for 30 years, where the station has been called i.a. Radio 1 and Radio M Silkeborg during the period. It is broadcast to the whole of Silkeborg and Søhøjlandet on FM, as well as online via the internet and apps for smartphones. The music profile is today’s biggest top 40 hits from home and abroad. Older music is played on the sister channel, Radio Alfa Silkeborg, which has a great love for 80s hits.
