Radio SAW is the first private radio station in Saxony-Anhalt. The abbreviation SAW stood for Sachsen-Anhalt-Welle. Today radio SAW is a word-picture brand.
The broadcast started on September 8, 1992. Radio SAW broadcasts for the so-called “SAW-Land”. This is essentially Saxony-Anhalt, East Lower Saxony, West Saxony and West Brandenburg and North Thuringia. The target group of Radio SAW are 10 to 59 year olds and the core target group 25 to 55 year olds. The program is organized by VMG Verlags- und Medien GmbH & Co. KG.
