Radio Horeb is a private Christian radio station based in Balderschwang in the Oberallgäu district. The station’s main studios are in Balderschwang and Munich. The content of the broadcasts is guided by the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. The profile within the Catholic spectrum is described by critics as “fundamentalist”, by the broadcaster’s own media consultants as “rather conservative”. Radio Horeb belongs to the world family of Radio Maria and is financed exclusively from the donations of its listeners. The sponsoring association is Internationale Christian Rundfunkgemeinschaft e.V. The broadcaster employs 51 full-time staff. Furthermore, about 300 people work on a voluntary basis.
