Radio Cidade Description:

Radio Cidade is a Brazilian radio station based in Rio de Janeiro, capital of the state of the same name. Operates on the 102.9 MHz FM dial, licensed in Niteroi, and belongs to the Rio de Janeiro Radio System. Between 1982 and 1994, the radio led Radio Cidade, one of the first radio networks in Brazil, and between 2000 and 2006 it was an affiliate of the Radio Rock network, led by 89 FM from Sao Paulo, in addition to functioning as a web radio between 2006- 2014 and 2016-2019. Radio Cidade, together with its sisters JB FM and Rio FM, have their studios located in the Gustavo Jose de Mattos Building, on Avenida Rio Branco, center of the Rio de Janeiro capital, and their transmitters are at the top of Morro do Sumare, in Rio Comprido.
